This year I said I wanted to be super organised and buy all my Christmas presents early. I thought that way I could just enjoy the festive season without the stress of trying to tick all the presents off my list. For the first year ever I actually managed to finish my shopping early – Go me! Of course, me being me I missed my lists. So instead of a stressful Christmas shopping list, I decided to make a bucket list of the things I would love to do this December.

 Christmas markets

This has been something on my list for years! Last year I went to the Bath Christmas markets and it was an amazing day out and I would love to go again this year. I loved finding cute decorations, drinking mulled wine and just enjoying the amazing festive atmosphere.

Have a Christmas movie marathon

When I was in my teens I always used to have the time to chill out and watch movies all day long, but as I have got older I just struggle to find the time to do nothing, but sit and watch films. This year however I am going to make the time. I am going to sit in my Christmas pjs with oodles of blankets, a hot chocolate, candles burning and just watch all of my favourite Christmas films all day.

Go to the panto

I have done this in the past and it has always been a good evening full of laughs. It’s like getting to be a big kid again and makes you feel super festive. Where I live there are quite a few to choose from, so I am spoilt for choice and hopefully I can make it to one of them.

 Go find Christmas lights

When I was younger I used to live in a town where there used to be a street full of houses with massive front gardens. Every year they always used to decorate them with a crazy amount of Christmas lights. There wasn’t one house that didn’t join in and normally they had themes too!  My parents used to bundle us in the car with hot chocolate and popcorn and we would drive over to see the lights. The street would be full of cars crawling down the road to see all their hard work and it was amazing! The only way I can describe it is think driving through safari park, but for Christmas lights ha! Needless to say, I am hoping I can find somewhere near where I live now that has lots of Christmas lights that I can go see and re-live my child memories.

DIY decorations

I absolutely love DIY, homemade things and just getting creative. Sadly, over the past few years work, uni and just life in general have taken over and I haven’t really had a chance to do any fun mini DIY projects. I remember making salt dough decorations with my mum when I was younger and I have seen lots of bits on Pinterest that I would like to try out too. I may just have make my little DIY projects in front of the TV while my movie marathon is on.

That’s my five things on my Christmas bucket list this year and I am determined to tick them all off so wish me luck!

I’ve been really wanting to go and find christmas lights, but I wouldn’t know how to find them except for driving endlessly around streets in the Rhondda! Fab goals girl, I can’t wait for our trip to the Cardiff markets – mulled wine will definitely be consumed.
