After seeing so many lovely Mother’s Day posts, I thought I would share with you what we got up to. After various late night conversations and scrambling around to organise everything, my sisters and I decided to surprise my mum with a Mother’s Day scavenger hunt. It’s not very often that all 4 of us manage to get the time to spend the day together, so we tried to fill it with all her favourite little things. We made sure everyone was up early and ready to go by 9am, jumped in the car and surprised her with her first clue.

We headed off to Starbucks first to pick up her favourite latte and have a little catch up. I decided to have a mint hot chocolate with almond milk and is was bloody lovely! Does anyone else find almond milk sooooo much creamier than normal milk? Anyway, back to the scavenger hunt –  after chatting away and showing mum the best filters on snap chat we got back in the car to headed off to our next destination.  Luckily it didn’t take her as long to work this one out!

One of her favourite places to go is Miskin Manor, so we planned to spend the rest of the morning there relaxing and being pampered. After spending a few hours in the health suite jumping from the sauna and steam room to the swimming pool and back again we treated mum to a Dermalogica facial and she came out glowing. Meanwhile I sat back and had my nails done in this gorgeous ‘Boston Cream Pie’ polish and my sisters enjoyed relaxing by the pool a little bit longer.

If you live locally it’s definitely somewhere I would recommend visiting. The beauty salon has a fantastic selection of treatments for really reasonable prices. I always keep an eye out for their package deals and offers as you can get so much for your money! The girls are so friendly and welcoming and we always have a lovely time. I absolutely love their online booking service too. When I work full time and commute a fair distance I find it hard sometimes to pick up the phone and catch someone, so booking online during my lunch break or late at night is ideal! Plus, their grounds are so picturesque and beautiful, I couldn’t imagine a better location for being pampered!

Finally, we decided it was time to eat. We had a little bit of a hiccup with our first plan (you can hear all about that in the vlog), but we chose somewhere new and didn’t let it ruin our day. After refuelling there was just enough time to pop into town and have a little mooch around the shops while my sisters went to work. What did you get up to on Mother’s Day? Were you planning special treats or were you treated?
