February Beauty Favourites

Hello lovelies, and welcome back to my blog! I spent last weekend planning lots of content for my blog and YouTube channel and it suddenly occurred to me that I hadn’t written or filmed a favourites post/video in an absolute age. So to change that I have pulled together all of my beauty favourites from the past month.

Normally February is a really short month; however, I feel like it lasted so long this year! I have been so busy that I haven’t tried many new things, but I found fell back in love with some all time favourites. Of course, it had to be an Aurelia product! I have been using their products for well over a year now (you can read a bit more about them here and here) and I recommend them to anyone who is looking for something new to try or if they have any type of skin problem they are trying to fix, because I cannot tell you how much I love using them. All of their products and especially this Cell Repair Night Oil calm my rosacea and help hydrate my skin. They do fall under what I would call the luxury budget range, but the benefits I see have been fantastic and can be seen even after using a couple of times – sometimes even only once!

Sticking with skincare, next up is the Origins Drink Up Overnight Face Mask. You might have seen this on the blog a month or so ago along with the other Origins goodies that I got and this one is by far my absolute favourite. Again, this is a product I see almost instant results with. It smells absolutely divine, leaves my skin super soft and plump and is just an all round lovely product to use. I only have a 50 ml tube at the moment, but I will definitely be repurchasing this when it starts getting low.

Next up is make up, now these are the few new bits that I have tried. Starting with the Max Factor Long Lasting Foundation. I featured this in a recent drug store beauty buys post and I have been reaching for it ever since. It’s been a while since I have been so impressed with a drug store foundation and at £7.99 (normally £9.99) you cannot go wrong. It has buildable coverage very similar to that of Estee Lauder Double Wear, but it so much lighter on the skin to the point that I can hardly feel it. Plus not only is it long lasting, but it also has the new touch proof formula making it less likely to get on those cosy cream knits or crisp white shirts.

I have also been loving this Elizabeth Arden lipstick in ‘Frozen Grape’ that I got in a huge gift set around Christmas time. There were so many lovely things and if I am honest I haven’t got around to trying them all yet. However, I grabbed this one, when I was going to a formal dinner recently and absolutely loved the berry tone shade. It’s not something I would have ever thought to try or even buy, but I have definitely been won over by this one and seem to reach for it much more than I do my pink shades.

Lastly, I have been loving budget make up brushes that actually do a fantastic job. There are so many brushes available now days and sometimes I have no idea what to try next. I love my Zoeva and Real Techniques brushes, but I wanted to try out the oval head brushes to see what all the fuss was about. Obviously, these are a dupe for the Artis brushes, but at just under £6 for a set of 5 I thought I would be mad not to try them. For the price, the quality is fantastic and I would really recommend trying these to see if you get on with them before splashing out on a more pricier range. I also found a flat topped set of 10 too that I have been loving if you are looking to build up your brush collection. You can find the oval ones here and flat topped ones here.

So those were my beauty favourites this month, you can see a little bit more about them over on my channel too. Next month I think I am going to change things up a little bit and try and do some lifestyle and fashion bits as well as my beauty favourites. Let me know in the comments what you have been loving lately or if you think there is anything I need to try?
