I think I am the fussiest person ever when it comes to foundation; I always manage to find something thats not quite right with every one I try. I have been on a mission to find a really good drug store foundation thats perfect for every day use and thats exactly what I think I’ve found. I will admit I am a little late to the bandwagon with this one as everyone seems to rave about it and now I can see why.
Bourjois claim that you can give your skin a radiance boost with Bourjois’ Healthy Mix Serum Gel foundation – made from a vitamin-rich fruit therapy formula for an even complexion and an instant anti-fatigue result! Made from a vitamin-rich fruit therapy formula with litchi, goji berries and pomegranates.
The foundation is normally £10.99 and you can pick it up in most drugstores. It comes in a glass bottle with a pump dispenser, which is really handy; I hate having to pour foundation out. It has light to medium coverage that is buildable and the first thing I noticed was that it smelt a lot nicer that most foundations, it has a really fresh scent… must be all that fruit. The consistency is quite runny which makes it really light on the skin and so easy to blend.
I found that it left my skin with an even and natural looking complexion, which is why I love it for every day use. I have dry to combination skin and this is perfect for me. It doesn’t stick to any dry patches and isn’t too oily for my t-zone either. I normally like to apply mine with my Real Techniques buffing brush and then blend it out with the Real Techniques miracle complexion sponge.
The only possible downside I can see so far is that there are only six shades available. Luckily for me I was a able to find perfect match with the shade 52 Vanilla and I am hoping that the next shade up will be perfect for summer months. I am so impressed with the satin fresh face look that it gives me and I will definitely be repurchasing.
