As you may have seen from my social media, I was kindly invited to this year’s Cardiff Fashion Week and what can I say it was brilliant. There were a wide range of designers from House of Fraser to Ty Hafan’s upcycled clothes challenge, to Peacocks to the University of South Wales student pieces. With 8 walks in total and over 16 designers we were definitely in for a treat.

Every single walk was amazing; each had their own theme and style and I loved them all. If I had to pick one, the opening walk with House of Fraser was my favourite. There was a great mix of autumn/winter shades and fabrics, plus of course some glitz and glam reading for the upcoming festive season.

The creativity of the pieces by the university students was fascinating.  As was Clare Johns who has a luxurious brand using materials from her own farm animals. #girlboss right there!

As per normal I had no idea what to wear! After tearing apart my wardrobe, I decided to go with something quite simple and very monochrome. I chose this Warehouse leather pinafore style dress, with a crisp white shirt underneath. I absolutely love these two together. I find it’s a really comfortable outfit, yet I still feel like I have made a bit of an effort. I threw on my wedged high-tops to make it a little more edgy and less school girly and there you go. Oh and of course the infamous cosy tights, seen as it was absolutely freezing!

Finally, I finished the outfit off with my Chloe dupe bag, which I love and was an absolute steal might I add. If you want to see what essentials I had stashed away in my handbag you can read all about that here.

A big thank you to Lowri for inviting me along, I loved it! Don’t forget to check out the #CFW2016 if you want to see lots more.
