You might have seen on my social media a few weeks ago, that I was kindly invited to the Spectrum brushes event and I have to say it’s one of the best blogging events I have been to. We arrived at the Tramshed Tech in Cardiff, to be greeted with a glass of pink sparkly bubbles – let’s be honest there is no better way to start any evening! Spectrum have been all over social media with their iconic brushes including the infamous Glam Clam that everyone loves and I was so excited to learn more about the brand.

We were treated to an amazing makeup master class, showing us how to create a gorgeous glam look using their amazing brushes and cruelty free products from brands such as Illamasqua and Anastasia Beverly Hills. Luckily it was all captured for Facebook and Instagram live so you can catch up here. Not only did they spoil us with their makeup masterclass, but we were treated to cocktails from Dirty Martini, delicious vegan food from Milgi Cardiff, sweet treats from Candy Kittens and Nails Inc manicures. The evening was perfect from start to finish and could not have been better!

We had the opportunity to meet both Sophie and Hannah, the creators of the Spectrum brand who were absolutely gorgeous, extremely down to earth and so welcoming. Recently I have tried to surround myself with positive books, podcasts, people and just absolutely anything that will help motivate and inspire me to achieve my goals. After my first few days back in work (after being off for 4 weeks for surgery), I was feeling completely exhausted, demotivated and for lack of a better word a little flat. Listening to Sophie and Hannah’s stories and funniest moments from starting their brand in their garage, living in pyjamas and packing orders until silly o’ clock was the perfect little boost that I needed. As someone who is passionate about building a business and creating a lifestyle that gives you freedom, I was so inspired by all of their hard work. It was the perfect reminder that hard work, effort and determination pays off and that you can achieve the things you set your mind to!

We were also kindly gifted an amazing goodie bag full of all the things beauty bloggers love including a set of their gorgeous brushes. Their products are cruelty free, vegan and can easily be bought online. They have amazing selection of sets if you want to expand or start your collection, or if you are looking to add to the ones you already have, you can purchase your favourites individually.  After watching the masterclass, it looks like the B06 is definitely one I will be investing in!

I would like to say an big thank you to the whole Spectrum team for inviting and spoiling me at their amazing event, but also to Sophie and Hannah for being an inspiration and creating such an amazing brand! Have you tried Spectrum brushes before? Let me know in the comments which ones are your favourites!

That sounds like it was such a great and inspiring event! Sometimes we need that motivation to remind us that we too can do it! 🙂
I haven’t tried their brushes yet, but I’d definitely like to soon! <3

These brushes are so pretty! I’m a bit rubbish and always use my fingers, but these brushes would definitely make me smile 🙂

It looks like a great event. I’ve never used the brushes before. I always find those light colored brushes look nice, but when they stain they start to look dirty, no matter how well you clean them
