If you are a blogger or just a general Instagram lover, I’m sure you will be obsessed with capturing all of your best moments on camera. I know I do, I love to look back at all my photos and remember all of the memories that go with them. I thought it would be nice to start sharing them on my blog, so you can see more of what I get up to (the everyday bits). I am not sure whether to go with weekly or monthly updates so we shall see how it goes, but here is my first week in photos post.
On Monday I spent most of my day at a wedding (congratulations to Mr and Mrs Howells!). It was a lovely day – even if my dress did completely rip open across the back and I had to wear a leather jacket all day. I think it’s safe to say there are no photos to document that experience (at least I hope not).
Thursday’s excitement came in the form of a new restaurant opening. A few weeks ago I received an exciting email to say that Turtle Bay was opening in Swansea. I had heard so many good things about them, but in true Laura-Simone fashion I was a little late to the party on this one and I hadn’t been able to go there before. It’s always been somewhere that’s been on my radar as their restaurants look so lively. When I received my invite to the launch party I was super excited to see what it was all about. Of course, I dragged my bestie along with me for an exciting Thursday night out. It was also the perfect opportunity to catch up with my blogging girls. We spent the evening being treated to cocktails and nibbles, all whilst talking about upcoming holidays (not mine unfortunately), work and just general life gossip.
The staff were lovely and friendly and the atmosphere was great. The new restaurant is on Castle street in Swansea’s town centre. It’s the perfect spot for date night or a catch up with the girls. The menu is Caribbean themed, with options for those who are gluten free or vegan too!
My weekend consisted of all the yummy food (read: way too many waffles). I then spent my Sunday wandering around Duffryn Gardens taking some pictures for an upcoming project. It is so beautiful there and I can’t wait to go back and spend more time exploring. I also found a pumpkin patch which made me instantly excited for all the autumn goodness!
So that’s a mini round up of my week in photos, I hope you enjoyed. Let me know in the comments what you have been up to.
