I had such lovely feedback on my previous week in photos post that I thought I would try to make it a more regular thing. I want these posts to be quite relaxed. A bit of a cross between a catch up with a friend over a cuppa and a little bit of a mini journal for myself to capture what I have been up to. Life is going by so quickly and I find it so easy to forget all the fun things I get up to. I am working a little bit behind on these, mainly so that I have enough time during the week to catch up and actually get these posts live, so please bear with me.
On Saturday we woke up to the second round of #BeastFromTheEast. With the garden covered in what looked like white powder and snow falling quite heavily we decided it wasn’t going to ruin our plans. We threw on an extra few layers and went out exploring. We decided to tick off our first place on our National Trust bucket list (aka the membership guide book). I have started a National Trust photo diaries series on my blog, so you can catch up with the full day here if you want to see what we got up to. I have also started a vlogging series on my YouTube channel too.
We had planned for Sunday to be a relaxed day with no real set plans and even though it was relaxed I seemed to get so much done. I got up early and made Crème Egg Brownies which were amazing (recipe coming soon)! We then popped to our local Country Wide store as they were having a closing down sale and we wanted to see if we could find some ‘outdoorsy’ clothing. Nothing really jumped out at us, but it was nice to get some fresh air and have a nose at all the tropical fish. On a side note – if you have any recommendations for ‘outdoorsy’ clothing or brands please let me know!
I then made us both a roast dinner, which happened to be the best roast dinner I have ever made (if I do say so myself). Ryan headed off to work and I caught up with blogging bits, ironing and a much-needed face mask.
Trying to desperately hang on to the productivity streak I was having, I planned out my day, so that I could hopefully tick off a few more bits on my to do list. With the cleaning done, I managed to edit and upload my most recent Home Bargains haul after all the lovely feedback on my first one and I even had time for a little bit of Yoga. I am really trying to get into yoga at the moment, as I really struggle to switch my brain off and I get burnt out quite easily. So taking a little bit of time out to switch off from everything seems like a good habit to have.
Tuesday – Friday
This is where the week starts to turn into a blur for me. With 2 late evenings in work and just general bits and pieces to get done at home. I am not really sure where these last couple of days went.
So that about sums up my week. I had a great week which I think was all kick started by such a good weekend. I am so pleased that I managed to catch up on a few things and get myself organized again (this is something I have really struggled with lately). I have a few lovely things planned for the next week so I will be able to share that with you all next. Like I said I am working a week behind on these, but if you want to see things as they are happening, don’t forget you can follow me on Instagram too. I am trying to share more of what I am up to on my insta stories.
What have you been up to this week? I’d love to hear from you, so please leave me a comment below.
