I feel like I don’t post favourites posts on my blog often enough, sometimes because there isn’t anything new that I have been loving and other times because I think I would constantly be bombarding you with things. I also never know whether to stick with just beauty or to mix it up with lifestyle and fashion pieces. So instead I have decided to put together 5 things I am currently loving with the idea that it can cover absolutely anything.

Winter festivities: Ok so I am not really sure if that’s even the right phrase, but this year I have been loving ALL of the wintery things. I absolutely loved going pumpkin picking, I cannot wait for bonfire night tonight and don’t even get me started on Christmas. I am not normally someone who goes crazy posting Christmas things, but as we are in the start of November I feel it’s the perfect time to start getting organised and VERY excited. I am really hoping I can join in with all the blogmas/vlogmas fun this year too (as long as I can get my uni assignments finished first).

Baking: Ok so this hasn’t actually happened yet, but over the past week or so I have suddenly had this massive urge to start baking and cooking again. I love testing out new recipes, making new things and I haven’t done any of it lately. I laid in bed the other night struggling to sleep and I suddenly realised I was making a mental list of all the things I want to make. I am not sure if it’s all the festive yummy food that’s got me excited or the fact that after an operation on my jaw a few weeks ago I haven’t able to eat properly for ages and now I just want ALL the food – either way I am going to run with it. Plus, I also thought it’s something fun to do indoors when the evenings are miserable, dark and wet. There might also be a few recipes I can share on here too.

Reading before bed: You might have seen in my what’s on my reading list post that I am really trying to get back into the habit of reading again. I have created my own little mini I library at home full of exciting crime/thrillers, which has really kept me motivated. I don’t read every night, but I am getting in a better habit and I’m loving it so far. Right now I am reading The Missing and The Couple Next Door is really good too!

Cosy knitwear: Anyone who knows me, knows I am a freezer and I always complain that I am cold. So as soon as the weather started to change I fully embraced all of the cosy knitwear. I am slowly building up my selection to keep me warm all winter.

Skincare and makeup: I have always been skincare obsessed, but recently I haven’t been too fussed. I just seemed to have stuck with my few favourite items and not really ventured into trying anything new. I really fell out of love with makeup a few months ago and I just couldn’t really be bothered with it all, but suddenly I have found loads of new things I would like to try. Again, because of my operation my skincare routine has been basically non-existent and as for makeup, that was definitely a no go. Now my face is free of stitches/dressings, I feel like it’s the perfect time to try some new things. I think it will have to be quite minimal to start with as it’s still healing, but I am excited to pick up some new bits on my wish list. Also if you have any recommendations then leave them in the comments below.

So those are my 5 things I am currently loving. What things have you been loving lately?
