The New Autumn/Winter Menu at The Hashery – Cardiff

Last week I was kindly invited to The Hashery to see their new autumn/winter menu. I had never been there before, but heard lots of good things about it, so I was excited to see what they had to offer. We were kindly greeted with drinks in the shape of gin and pink lemonade and I instantly knew we were onto a winner. We then wandered towards the back of the restaurant to see an epic display of burgers, fries, muscles, cocktails and more. For anyone who knows me and my love of food you can imagine my levels of excitement!

After hearing a little bit about the restaurant, their work ethic and involvement with a local charity we were introduced to the new menu in preparation for the colder months. The menu takes a lot of inspiration from their spring/summer menu, but with that extra touch of the autumn winter ‘stodge’ – music to my ears.

As soon as I spotted their dirty fries I knew I had to try them. They have now upped the game by introducing another version called the porky fries, which also happen to be very tasty. The have a wide selection of burgers and muscle pots to choose from so you might be stuck for choice. Their sides are almost like a main on their own, with onion rings as big as your head and giant mozzarella sticks to choose between. The girls were also won over by the cinnamon and honey glazed halloumi.

We all know by now that the aesthetic of any restaurant is key to winning over any grid lover and we were not let down. The interior is an instagramers dream, with upcycled furniture and a comic book theme throughout. There is a fun atmosphere with live music and 2 for 1 cocktails. Not forgetting the confession wall that could keep you entertained all evening – we certainly had a few giggles.

The Hashery also has lots of events coming up over the next few months including Halloween, New Year and a charity event in collaboration with The Wallich with tickets for £5. They are really easy to find on the High Street in Cardiff’s city centre, just minutes from both the castle and the stadium. If you’re looking for a fun and lively evening out, with good food, drinks and laughs all round then The Hashery is the place to go!
