There is nothing like getting towards the end of week and knowing you have a little treat in store; especially after spending most of the week cleaning and moving house (you can read all about that glamourous life update here). Treats come in all shapes in sizes, mine usually in the shape of a slice of cake or a new handbag, but this time it was all about being pampered. If you are looking for somewhere new to get your beauty treatments done, somewhere that has that little bit of extra sparkle, I may just have the perfect option for you.
Last week I was kindly invited to the launch of the new Champagne and Beauty Bar at the Celtic Manor in Newport. The resort itself oozes luxury and indulgence and the beauty bar is no different. It’s the perfect addition to their beautiful spa area and best little spot to relax and enjoy a little pampering.
While at the launch I was treated to a file and polish* using the Jessica phenom nail range. I was so impressed with not only their selection of colours, but also their treatment base coats. Their polishes give the shine of a gel polish and much better wear than a normal nail polish. The treatment base coats are designed to treat a variety of nail problems and after spending all weekend moving house the recovery polish designed to condition and hydrate nails was perfect for me.
At the launch we were also able try out a selection of their cocktails which are available from the bar alongside the champagne, soft drinks and tea/coffee. As per normal I was driving so I stuck with a mocktails; which definitely wasn’t a disappointment. I had a Raspberry Swizzle – a raspberry, elderflower, tonic and cucumber mix. It was perfectly topped off with some delicious macaroons and chocolate covered strawberries… oh and perhaps a few savoury canapes.
Their lust list includes everything from champagne manicures and pedicures to makeup, brows and lashes. There is even a selection of grooming treatments for gentleman and sparkling treats for teens between the ages of 13-16. If you fancy having your nails done, being treated to a glass of champagne and indulging in some chocolate covered strawberries then it’s the perfect spot.
