How I Whiten My Teeth at Home & My Affordable Go-To Products

Teeth whitening, at home teeth whitening, affordable teeth whitening, Oral B, Teeth Whitening strips, whitening toothpaste, beauty, Nano, Whitewash laboratories,

When I was growing up my teeth were horrific. Let’s just say braces actually work miracles like you wouldn’t believe. Ever since my braces were taken off, I have tried to take really good care of my teeth because I was so happy with the work they had done. That of course includes keeping them white.

I don’t know about you, but I don’t have the time and money to go and get my teeth whitened on a regular basis (I’d rather spend my money on handbags and coats), but I am obsessed with keeping my teeth as white as possible.

New handbag or white teeth???

Major first world problem right there I know, but it’s still something I am very aware/conscious of because you definitely can’t beat a bloody good smile! So recently I have been testing out a few different products to find out what works best, but doesn’t require me to take out a bank loan at the same time.

Step 1 – Teeth Whitening Strips

It all started a few months ago when I wrote a post about new things I had tried & whether they were worth the hype? I spoke about things such as the infamous Aldi candles (the Jo Malone dupes) that have been taking over our social media feeds for months and I also mentioned some new teeth whitening strips that I had won in an Instagram competition. I promised to provide an update on my first impressions and it’s safe to say that I was well and truly won over.

The Nano Intensive Teeth Whitening Strips* have become my go to product for whitening my teeth at home. They are so easy to use and I see results instantly! All you have to do is brush your teeth, pop the strips on and wait for half hour for them to work their magic. This is normally long enough for me to get dressed and do my hair and makeup, which means it doesn’t eat into my daily routine either. They are £25 for a box that contains a 2 week set and you can find them online or you can pick them up in Boots. They also have a selection of whitening products that you can find here. I was instantly impressed from the first time I used them and have been ever since. I almost thought they were too good to be true and maybe I was a little over excited, so I asked Ryan if he wanted to try them too. He was adamant that they were going to be rubbish. However, he had quite a surprise and was just as impressed as I was. I am on my second box and I think we would both happily buy more.

Step 2 – Teeth Whitening Toothpaste

So once my teeth are nice and white, I really like to focus on maintaining them. This involves quite a few things such as reducing the amount of tea that I drink and not eating/drinking other things that are likely to cause staining. It also involves a good toothpaste. I have tested out my fair share of whitening toothpastes over the years and so far this Oral B 3D Luxe one has become my favourite. I am not normally an Oral B toothpaste fan (fussy I know), but I saw this on offer and decided to give it a go. It definitely helps keeps my teeth whiter for longer and I see better results from this one than I have from other brands.

So those are my 2 simple steps and products that I am currently loving for whitening my teeth at home. Do you whiten your teeth at home? Let me know in the comments what whitening products you love.
