There is nothing quite like walking into Lush and feeling spoilt for choice just like a child in the candy shop. Their displays are always on point and I always get excited to pop in and pick up a few bits when I’m passing. So much so that I feel like I always have to stop myself squealing with excitement. The other week, I took a trip to Cardiff to have a mooch around for a few bits I needed and when I say need that included a new bath bomb.
As I am trying hard to save this year, I decided to limit myself which was definitely hard work. I spent ages looking at all the different bombs, bars and melts to choose from and finally settled on two. I decided to go for two bath bombs that I hadn’t tried before. I had mentally chosen Intergalactic before I even got to the store after seeing how amazing it looked on my sisters snap chat. It is so vibrant and has a subtle hint of peppermint.
I then decided to pick up Avobath which is just a green ball of goodness. It smells amazing with its lemongrass and bergamot oils and also has avocado and olive oil in it. Both are perfect for battling dry skin and dehydration. I cant wait to test this one out, I think it will be perfect for relaxing.
Finally I was kindly given my all time favourite Butterball by my little sisters as a thank you gift (they are the best). Not only do I love the gorgeous smell, it is perfect for my sensitive skin as it contains cocoa butter. Plus it has an ingredient called Ylang ylang which Lush say is “used in aromatherapy to treat stress and depression, as well as relaxing the nervous system, and relieves anger, panic and fear”. Sounds ideal for any pamper session.
It’s really important to take time to relax and pamper yourself. At the start of the year, I decided that I would set a goal of taking some time each week to have some ‘Me Time’. It is so easy to get caught up with full time work, blogging, family/friends and just general life that we can sometimes forget to take care of ourselves. With my new goal in mind, I try to take at least an hour each week for a mini pamper session. Whether it be to have a bath, paint my nails, put a face mask on or just some time to sit and relax and read a book. If I have the time I like to do them all, but if not I try to at least pick one. Its an hour to forget all of the to do lists and all the things running through my head. Wednesday is my favourite, it’s like a mid-week pick me up that helps me get through the rest of the week feeling a little more relaxed and motivated. I am now spoilt for choice when I have my next pamper session.
Whats your favourite bath bomb or bubble bar? Let me know in the comments below, I would love to try some new ones next time.
