Fragrances I’ve Been Loving Lately

Up until about a year or so ago I was never really bothered about perfumes. I have no idea why, as there are so many gorgeous scents that usually come in the most beautiful packaging and look so istagramable sat on the dressing table. Oh plus the small fact that they make you smell amazing – yet I never really invested in them. When I went on holiday last year I still had some birthday money left to spend, so I decided to treat myself to something I wouldn’t normally splash out on and that included some new perfume. As I have been testing them out for quite a while now, I thought I would share some of my favourites with you.

GIORGIO ARMANI – I think this is probably my most favourite I have ever owned and my most worn. It’s definitely a warm luxurious scent, but it’s also very fruity and sweet too. It’s a gorgeous feminine and elegant scent that’s long lasting and just smells divine. It does have a slightly higher price point at around £95 for 100 mls, but I would definitely recommend it and would happily repurchase it again.

MARC JACOBS DECADENCECompared to the Armani perfume this is much more of an intense, deep and what I would consider a sophisticated statement fragrance. The gorgeous handbag packaging makes it look beautiful sat on the dressing table and just oozes luxury. Again, it has a slightly higher price tag (£96 per 100 mls) and I would say it could possibly be a love/hate scent, so definitely test it in store first.  That being said, I think this has to be one of my favourite winter fragrances.

ZARA JOYFUL TUBEROSERecently I have been becoming an avid Zara fan and their fragrances are just as good as their clothes. The prices are fantastic at around £9.99 a bottle and there is a really good selection to choose from. I have been loving this for every day use, plus it smells a lot more expensive than it is. The lasting power isn’t as long as some of the other perfumes, but still very good for the price.

MARC JACOBS DAISY DREAM – This is what I like to call my clean scent – it’s fresh, girly, effortless and light. The packaging like all Marc Jacobs perfumes looks expensive and beautiful. As this is a lighter fragrance than the others, I sometimes top it up throughout the day, but this would not put me off re-purchasing it (£76 per 100 mls). I think I will definitely be wearing this more as spring and summer get a little closer.

These have been my go to fragrances for the past few months. They are all completely different and I love each one of them. I am definitely going to be investing in more perfumes this year, so please let me know what your favourites are.

Thank you! I haven’t tried Black Opium, but I have heard so many good things about it – I might need to add it to my list. x

These all sound dreamy Laura! I love Zara for fashion but have never had a sniff of their perfumes (I’m going shopping tomorrow so you’ve given me inspiration)! My faves right now are no surprise because they rarely change but Chanel Chance Au Tendre and Jo Malone Peony and Blush Suede are my go-to scents.

I hadn’t tried Zara ones until I went to Tenerife and saw them there and now I am hooked, such good value for money and really good selection too. I haven’t tried any of the Jo Malone ones, but I am desperate to get one! Hope you had a lovely time shopping. x
